Gigi’s Cupcakes Lexington, KY

Heather Stephens & Bree Vickers, Co-Owners

As the owners of the Lexington GiGi’s Cupcakes, we would like to introduce ourselves and say thank you for welcoming us to Lexington.

Gigi’s Cupcakes Lexington, KentuckyWe are two friends with a dream! We are Heather Stephens and Bree Vickers, the co-owners of the Lexington store. We met in school in Memphis, Tennessee. Since graduation we’ve dreamed of a business that is fun and creative.

Gigi’s of Lexington is the fruition of our dream of owning a business that is both rewarding and fun. We are so excited when we see our customers and their satisfaction with the beautiful cupcakes we create. Owning and working at Gigi’s is so rewarding. We love baking and “swirling” cupcakes, it is a wonderful way to express our creative sides.

It was July 2009 that we had our first Gigi’s cupcake in Nashville and instantly fell in love with the greatest cupcakes ever. (Texas Milk Chocolate is our all-time favorite!) We knew immediately that we had to be a part of Gigi’s. Heather still lives in Kentucky and Bree now lives in San Antonio, Texas. We hope to open our San Antonio location by the end of 2010.

We take great pride in our bakery and being a part of the Bluegrass community. We are members of Commerce Lexington and are accredited with the Better Business Bureau. We have twelve wonderful full-time and part-time employees, many of which attend UK and EKU.

We love supporting events and charities in our local community by providing donations. Here are a few that we have donated to:

  • Visually Impaired Preschool Services “Mother’s Day Out” Event
  • Cabinet for Health and Family Services’ “Operation: Headed Home, A Traumatic Brain Injury Conference”
  • The Lexington Children’s Theater “Celebrity Curtain Call” annual fundraiser
  • YMCA of Central KY Silent Auction to raise money for Campaign for Kids (offering financial assistance for Kids to take part in YMCA programs)
  • Henry Clay High School Band
  • Shriner’s Hospital for Children
  • The Hope Center (offering shelter, food, clothing, recovery, and other outreach programs in the Lexington area)
  • The Lexington Humane Society’s “Bow Wow Meow Luau” benefit promoting Care and compassion for all animals.

Our facebook fan base is growing every day! We love to offer special deals and coupons to our facebook fans, as well as get input on our daily specials. Become a fan and vote for your favorite!
